An Italian proverb says that ‘the small barrel preserves the best wine’ [in English, ‘the best things come in small packages’]: this is the secret of the wine bar la Trappola, a small, charmingly atmospheric “locus amoenus” in the old town centre of San Daniele.
The wine bar offers a wide selection of wines from Friuli and other regions of Italy, artisanal beers, the famous cured ham, local cheeses, the Regina di San Daniele (cold smoked rainbow trout) and other specialities from the Friuli region.
