The Golf & Country Club Castello di Spessa with its 18 Hole, Par 17 Golf Course can be found in the beautiful scenery of the Collio Goriziano vineyards. Guests will spend 3 relaxing days here. The golf course, the fairways, and the surrounding different views have been traced to give players the sensation of playing on 3 different courses. The driving range faces the Castle. The ponds & fountains situated along the fairways give this golf course an “old time” look.

In the afternoon expereince a guided tour of a Collio winery in the picturesque countryside that surrounds the castle…followed by wine tasting.

Golf Club Castello di Spessa, Medieval Castle, Duomo cathedral – (Day 3)

Breakfast.

Spend the morning playing golf at Golf Club Castello di Spessa.
In the afternoon there is a guided tour of Gorizia, once called the “Nice of the Adriatic sea”: explore its Medieval Castle with its borgo dating back to 11th century (among those who worked at the castle’s defence structures was Edmond Halley, who discovered the homonymous comet.)

Visit the Duomo cathedral (first referenced in a 1342 document) after strolling through via Rastello with its ‘vecchie botteghe’. Reach the magnificent Piazza Vittoria and visit St. Ignazio church where the interior features include wonderful marble decorations, carved & inlaid wooden furnishings dating back to the 17th century. An altar designed by Venetian sculptor Lazzarini (1716) and an eighteenth century fresco of the pulpit entitled the ‘Glory of St. Ignatius’ painted by Tausch.

Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon.
